Wildlife Photography at Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary

Pobitoro wildlife sanctuary is around 30km away from the Guwahati which is the capital city of the state of Assam. This is located in a small town called Mayong. The park remains closed throughout the monsoon however on my visit I was fortunate enough to spot some rhinos from the side of the road. Near the gate, there is a small trail which is okay for some bird watching. Here are some shots which I took.

A rhino with its calf grazing the grassland area of Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary.
A herd of wild water buffalo. These were located at quite a distance away.
Spotted Owlet.
Common Mormon Butterfly.
White-breasted Waterhen.
This image shows a group of ducks resting by a body of water.
These are more likely domestic ducks walking along the path. This could be Swedish Blue or Pomeranian ducks.
A group of ducks swimming in water and they appear to be Silver Appleyard ducks.
This was taken from a raised platform. I awaited a while to get a good clear shot of this rhino.
