Dussehra Festival at Parade Ground in Dehradun

Dussehra is a major Hindu festival celebrated in India at the end of Navaratri each year and there alot of mythology to it which can be read by going to the wikipedia page. It is mainly a victory of good over evil.

However I was planning to cover this event for sometime but on the day i was having thoughts on whether to go or not as I was thinking it could be very crowded. However I decided to go at last moment and arrived just before the effigy of Raavan was to be burnt with fireworks and plus I was on the wrong side of the fence meaning I could not get a front view. The location was Parade Ground in Dehradun which is actually not very far from where I am currently residing. It was crowded with alot of security. After all three efigies were burnt, people started to leave however I stayed to get some after shots of the festival with more show of fireworks.

Here I got some interesting silhouettes. However I was under the impression that the burning will start around 6:30pm but everything got over by that time. Everything got over in like 15 to 20 minutes and regret not going on time.
